Our Mission:

The Wethersfield Democratic Town Committee usually meets on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month at 7:30 in the Town Council Chamber unless otherwise noted in our calendar.

Our meetings are open to all so feel free to join us.

The principal duty of the Wethersfield Democratic Town Committee is to select Democratic candidates for elective office and appointed positions in the Town of Wethersfield.

The Democratic Town Committee also assists in the campaigns of Democratic candidates for local, state, and federal office, and promotes issues that are important to us, such as improving the quality of the daily lives of Wethersfield residents and ensuring the cost-effective use of hard-earned tax dollars.

The Democratic Town Committee believes in Government for All and invites your involvement in our continuing campaign to make Wethersfield a better place to live. Democratic Town Committee members serve two-year terms and represent each of the town's 10 voting districts.

Openings on Town Boards & Commissions:

The Wethersfield Democratic Town Committee is seeking candidates for public office and service on town boards and commissions, including Justice of the Peace, Historical District, Disability Advisory, Fair Rent, Flood & Erosion Control, Human Rights & Relations, Inland Wetlands, Senior Citizens Advisory, Solomon Wells House, Planning & Zoning, Insurance, and, Library Board.  Registered Democrats who are interested in serving should contact Christine Fortunato, chairperson of the town committee's screening committee, at 860-529-3828 or CFortunato63@aol.com
